A Bright Little Card on a Rainy Day

This bright little card is bound to bring on the sunshine! It's a fun mix of bright papers & cheery embellishments. The stamp is by Tim Holtz, and the papers are from all over, including 2 new SU 'in colors' - melon mambo, and dusty durango. I used green and blue bazzil, as well as a paisley printed paper from Anna Griffin. The yellow floral background paper is from the Pink Flamingo SU designer series papers. The ribbon is from My Mind's Eye. Have a great weekend!!

First Splitcoast Stamper Post

For those who know me, I never lose sleep, but last night I was so excited to post my newest card, I woke up like a kid waiting for Santa. I was so inspired by my friend & fellow stamper Jen Sannes' tips on how to use Splitcoaststampers.com to grow my stamping & blogging abilities, I couldn't wait to make my debut! If you have time, check out Splitcoaststampers.com, it's an endless source of creativity and crafty passion.

Here's my first Splitcoast post, using Stampin' Up's Fun & Fast Notes - Happy New Baby stamp. I used green bazzil, a Yours Truly Chocolate scallop card (which I purchased for our wedding and never used, so I have 80 of these...), Sale-a-Bration Delicate Dots Designer Paper, and 1" Double Sided Grosgrain Ribbon in Bashful Blue. The buttons and green rhinestones were part of an amazing gift given to me by my Mom a few Christmases ago where she gave me every supply needed to start paper crafting. Thanks Mom!!

Creative Monday

Jon and I had such a great weekend! For the fourth, we enjoyed cooking dinner with Jon's family, and watched fireworks on their lakeside condo. On Sunday we went to Milwaukee to visit one of Jon's, Kerry/Edwards campaign friends. I fell in love with Milwaukee! We ate brunch in the third ward, which included a build your OWN mimosa bar (OMG!), we checked out Summerfest, the Museum of Art, and sat on a beach (yes, a real beach!) and enjoyed a beer in one of the coolest neighborhoods I have been in, in a long while (it's now on my list of places to live when I win the lottery!)

Today, I was able to create. I planted an herb garden, which includes chocolate mint, parsley, basil, chives, cilantro, thyme and rosemary. I also responded to a stamping challenge to decorate a corset card, and then I created a cute dog card. Hope you like it :0)
