An Anniversary Thank You

It's crazy how fast time can slip past us. In what feels like a blink of an eye, years fly by us, summers flitter away and bitter cold winters feel like distant memories. If I look around our office/craft room, there is the stack of extra wedding invites and announcements, my dress in it's restorative box, wedding photo proof albums littered with pink sticky notes, jumbled little piles of pictures from the "take your own" photo cameras on each table at the reception that I meant to send to attendants of our special day, but never did. Where has the year gone? I look up at my photo board, and it too is cluttered with photos of my friends and family that helped us celebrate our love and marriage just a year ago. Sadly, I thought I had done a good job at keeping in touch, but when I really think about it, I've had less than a handful of phone dates to catch up on their lives and share a little of mine. So, with this passing anniversary, I was surprised at how much can be done in a year, and just how hard it is to let go of the past. Jon and I have seen so much change in our time together, the last 3 years being an utter roller coaster ride. I smile when I think about how far we've come and look forward to the new challenges and changes that will come to us in the future, and that we are lucky enough to brave them together. (with the dog too, of course!)

In this blog post, I made a thank you card that layers a coffee bean stamped damask background with a SU yellow and Lemonade blue floral paper. I deconstructed a strip of cream colored paper and stamped the "Thank You" message to the right side. Then used SU's Polka Dot Punches flower stamp with gold embossing to give the card a bit of shine. It has a very all natural feel that I hope you'll enjoy!
